GENESIS
PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Thakkolam is a progressive Co-Educational school under Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan instituted under the aegis of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Established in year 1996, The school follows CBSE curriculum and classes taught are from class I to XII each class having two sections ( from I to X) and Science streams for class XI and XII.

From ancient institutions like Nalanda and Taxila to the present educational system, India's tradition and culture have always embraced education as a tool through which individuals become socially, culturally, and morally refined. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is the torchbearer of this rich tradition in India, successfully carrying out the responsible task of shaping the new generation of the country by integrating modern educational innovations with age-old educational traditions. The countless teachers who contribute to strengthening and enriching the foundation of the nation are the pride and glory of the organization. The blind guru is also lost, while the disciple stands firm and steadfast. Blind are both, clapping hands, both at the well's end.

It gives me immense pleasure to be a part of Kendriya Vidyalaya and to cater to vision and mission of KVS. This Vidyalaya is situated in historical place Thakkolam where CISF, NDRF is located in Suraksha Campus Regional Training Center. The mission of this Vidyalaya is “This School will improve reading habit of Students at all Stages in Bilingual –encourage Students to become lifelong learners by developing intellectual curiosity and her thirst for discovery and achievement” The School is under the able leadership of DIG CISF who is the Chairman of VMC. The School develops not only Academics but also develops overall development in the field of sports co-curricular activities and Scout and Guides movements. To develop scientific skills the School undertakes all exhibitions and Olympiad exams for students to pursue scientific research and innovations.
